My I and the Control Tower

of the Flight of Daydreams

 

My I has painful memories

of stupidity, of incomprehension,

of humiliation and failure.

Maybe that’s why it dreams so much.

Dreams of controlling the future

of being the ally of chance

of having good luck

of Destiny expressing itself in its favor

of being recognized

of keeping everything under control

of having its survival guaranteed.

It spends a lot of time there

in the Control Tower

of the Flight of Daydreams

imagining situations

trying to control its fear of the future.

 Observing all of this

meditating on how boring and repetitive

this situation is,

I made a request from deep within me

for something I really need:

a new control in the Flight Tower.

Then, in response to my request,

I felt an immense joy

and an enormous sensation of freedom

I felt that there in the profound

hides the profound I

the I of intentionality

the I that creates new dimensions

in space and time

the I that does not fear the future

because it knows

that the future is eternal and always new

the I that looks at the world

from a new place

that is clean and crystalline

the I that begins to express itself

by fulfilling my request.

For those who can appreciate it, here's the original Spanish -

Mi Yo y el Control de la Torre de Vuelo de Ensueños

Mi yo tiene recuerdos dolorosos

de estupidez, de incomprensión,

de humillación y fracaso.

Quizás por eso sueña mucho

Sueña con controlar el futuro

con ser aliado del azar

con tener fortunas

con que el Destino se exprese a su favor

con ser reconocido

con que todo permanezca bajo su control

con que se garantice su supervivencia.

En esto se pasa mucho tiempo

en la Torre de Control de Vuelos de Ensueños

imaginando situaciones

tratando de controlar su miedo al futuro.

Observando todo esto

meditando sobre lo aburrido y repetitivo

de esta situación

hice un pedido desde lo profundo

por algo que necesito realmente:

un nuevo control en la Torre de Vuelos.

Entonces sentí que a mi pedido

acudió como respuesta una inmensa alegría

y una enorme sensación de libertad

Sentí que allá en lo profundo

se esconde el yo profundo

el de la intencionalidad

el que crea nuevas dimensiones

en el espacio y en el tiempo

el que no teme al futuro porque sabe

que este es eterno y siempre nuevo

el que mira al mundo desde un lugar nuevo

limpio y cristalino

el que comienza a expresarse

cumpliendo mi pedido.
