After Kite finds out that Yasuhiko fell into a coma, he returns to The World to find answers. After posting his situation on the BBS, he meets BlackRose, who urges him to take her to the field Δ Hidden Forbidden Holy Ground. There, the two are attacked by a monster that entered the area via an irregular portal. A player named Balmung appears and defeats it, but it's viral core restores it's energy and transforms it into a Data Bug, giving it unlimited Hit Points. Balmung, though as strong as he is, cannot defeat it in this form. At this point, Kite's Book of Twilight activates and gives him the ability to Data Drain. With this new ability, the Data Bug becomes a normal monster, and Balmung is able to defeat it again. Balmung accuses Kite of being the hacker responsible for the degradation of The World. BlackRose responds by calling him ungrateful to the one who saved his life, and Balmung leaves without taking any further action. Upon leaving the chapel, the mysterious hacker Helba tells Balmung that Kite is the friend of Orca. Inside the chapel, Kite tells BlackRose about what happened to Orca, and she offers her assistance to Kite.

This is setting the Hook Mode which basically decide how much data the program converts. Most titles will work fine on Normal, but if you find that the particular game you want to use the gamepad for isn't working, check the compatibility list, or randomly pick a different mode to see if that fixes it. It very well could.

I'm having some trouble getting a simple USB PS3 / PC Gamepad working properly in my favorite and only game I play at the moment: Tera Rising (Europe version from Gameforge). You can check the game page here:

It has been working for many people, and not working for many as well (you can see the other comments here). There could be a number of factors involved such as whether you have properly cracked the game in the first place or not, etc.. It definitely worked for me quite easily and if you follow the guide properly, you should achieve this too. Give it a better try!

"Cyber Knights is a tactical RPG in an original cyberpunk setting ten years in the making. Build your team of hackers, mercs and thieves wisely; their stories will become interwoven with your own. Use powerful cyberware, shady connections, stealth, hacking and more to rise in the neon-soaked future."

Hypnospace Outlaw
Tendershoot / 2019
You're an internet detective, tasked with hunting down illegal content on the GeoCities-inspired Hypnospace. This garish (and hilarious) simulated internet, inspired by the golden age of the web, is hiding all kinds of illegal content, and you really have to work to find the offending material, infiltrating hacker collectives, locating hidden pages, and cracking passwords.

KGB
Cryo Interactive / 1992
This fairly obscure adventure game, renamed Conspiracy for its CD-ROM release, sees you working inside the KGB at the end of the Cold War, trying to root out corruption. A very different take on the detective genre, and brutally, punishingly difficult thanks to its real-time structure. If you play the CD-ROM version you get FMV cutscenes starring Donald Sutherland as your father.

If you haven't played Enter the Matrix or want to try this action video game, download it now for free! Published in 2003 by Atari, Inc., Atari Europe S.A.S.U., Enter the Matrix (aka 黑客帝国, Heike Diguo) is still a popular hacking title amongst retrogamers, with a whopping 4.4/5 rating.

It's much easier to mod a computer game than a hard-coded console game, but creative adjustments to a save file (and, with the most recent generation of games, console hard drive content) and/or use of a GameShark allow determined amateur programmers to mod with the best of them. Most often, however, mods of console games are edits of the ROM files used in Emulation. These tend to be referred to as "ROM hacks" and are usually considered a separate scene from mods, as running a mod is intended behavior of the original software especially in the case of games that offer an official avenue for modding, or alternatively, as mods are designed for games on open platforms such as the IBM Personal Computer and Apple Macintosh, while playing a ROM hack requires patching the game's binaries (or performing some other kind of hack) and copying said binaries to a flash cart or burned to a discnote And in the case of more recent systems, performing some kind of modification to the consoles for them to run unsigned or modified code.

Early ROM hacks were largely present in Famiclone consoles and cartridges, especially where the said system wasn't officially released. Cartridges contained graphics hacks very often. The most common ones were those where the main character was replaced by Mario, passing them off as an "installment" in the Mario series such as in the case of the now-infamous 7 Grand Dad.
