iOS SDK and Location Manager

Hi folks,

I have questions about your iOS SDK and location manager usage. As far as I understand, your SDK register itself to receive notification about geofences from iOS system, but I don't understand these things:

• is it necessarily to receive all updates from iOS geofences location manager even if Plot SDK already knew that we have not any active geofences campaign? (on the image below you can see that your demo app always use location manager, even after device reboot, but I haven't even added "publicToken" to plotconfig.json);
• can I disable your location manager and send push-notifications based only on the locations that were sent when the app (with integrated Plot SDK) was active? For example, user ran the app in the Amsterdam and your SDK sent user location to the server, then I create new campaign with new geofences and one of the geofences fits the stored user's location. Will the user be notified?

The problem is that users usually removed applications that actively use GPS (and app with integrated Plot SDK will always be in the list of active location services). Yes, I understand that geofences feature is optimised and battery friendly, but I can't explain it to the users.

Hi,

Our Plot Project library is designed to send notifications instantly when the users enters an area. To do this we need access to notification updates, even when the app isn't running in the foreground.

We don't have a feature that allows disabling the location updates. It would be possible to keep track of users that have entered a certain area by using our geotrigger solution and then target those people later using push. 

We're integrated in a large number of apps, but we haven't had bad experiences of users deinstalling the app because our library was integrated. Users have to opt-in first and users can just opt-out again later when they don't want to allow location services to your app.
