Is it still possible to build Pinta with mono?

I just tried to build the latest Pinta (2.0.2) with mono xbuild, and it fails with a lot of errors.

Is it only possible to build it with dotnet now?

I think dotnet needs to be used, unless there's a newer version of Mono that supports .NET 6 (I suspect not, since that would be wasted work as dotnet is open source and cross-platform already)
