nose/chin release?

Anyone have supporting documentation to justify moving the towhook to the nose or chin?

A gent name of Geoff Vincent in Australia said he had a nose release many years ago.

Here in the US, Applebay did at least one with his proprietary hook but the drawings did not survive as far as I can tell.

Hi,

Yes, Geoff's PIK has a nose-release mod.
Geoff Vincent passed away a few years ago; his PIK VH-GAX now has a new owner, Brondon Lovell from the Grampians Soaring Club. If Brendon is not on this group, you can try to contact him via the club.
