The wait was long, but it's finally available, Oracle V4.1.4 for RSX-11M+.
More at www.oracle-v2.online/oracle414

Ed,
Congrats to both you and Johnny on bringing this Oracle software back from extinction!!

I was a big fan of Datatrieve but haven’t worked with Oracle before. I downloaded the V2.3 manuals and have started reading them, but I ran into a question. To use the UFI, one needs to login with a user name and password. Is there a default one or how do you set one up? I configured my installation for two users.

Thanks for this great software archeology development!

It fails with chrome, though. and https:// gives a not-found error (and a cert authenticity error).

Warner,
I was able to access the web page http://www.oracle-v2.online/oracle414/ with FireFox, Safari and Chrome on my M2 MacBook Pro.

Best,
Mark

Yes, it is a self hosted page. Firefox will work.

Works well with Chrome ver 131.0.6778.205, Windows 10. Image, top-of-page text, and bottom menu functional.

On a Pi4, Chromium ver. 122.0.6261.89, release from around 6 months ago for PiDP-11, I get the image backdrop but no bottom-of-page menu or other text, and can't scroll the window.

On the same Pi4, Firefox 125.0.1, I get the full background image, but no bottom-of-page menu or other text.  The window is not scrollable.

Sorry, that's all I have time to check this morning.

Update:  If I increase the screen resolution on the Pi, I see the full display including text.  "full background image" on Firefox on my original message was wrong, I was only seeing a partial background image.

The Oracle site is displaying well in both Chromium and Firefox on the RPi/Debian system when the screen resolution is sufficiently high.

Yes, it does work on Chrome, but you might have to adjust the resolution.

Did you specify 'du0:' or 'du0'? The device has to include the ':'.

Thanks. It's now up and running.

Nice to get back to Oracle. I started with v5 on ms-dos in the early 90s and kept within the Oracle "family" until about 2015.

Trouble again...

After the install, I used the provided script to create a demo database. Then created a table, commited and did a select statement. All well.

Today, after rebooting RSX, I've run @insoracle to start it.
This time, CBD only shows 2 Oracle related tasks (ORASHR, ORAFSC or ORASFC, can't remember), while yesterday there were 5-6 ORA tasks.
Predictable when logging to UFI with scott/tiger I got an error...

Any ideas ?

Yeah, you need to start the thing up, which isn't done automatically.

After @insoracle, you need to do "ior w" (for warm start).
