Does anyone have a good image of the bookstore book covers from our time?

I'm looking for the Chief's logo; the only one I can find is on a T-shirt...

Recollection has it that it had his image and our chevron logo under it, full-book sized on the face...

Sorry Skip. I don’t have it.

Pretty hard to find these any more. Maybe this will help.

Thanks; that's the guy!

However, I was looking for the image with the chevron under it, as, I think I recall, was the embossment on our class rings of the time...

Whoa! That's really perfect (and I thought I was the one who saved everything). Somewhere I still have a dinner plate that I stole from the lunch room, and it has the logo on it. It would take me hours to find it!

My apologies; I've been dandling 11 of my 17 grandchildren this week and missed Heidi's and a few other responses.

Heidi's is the one I had in mind, and Jim's enhancement is perfect.

Thanks again, all!

My quest, now fulfilled, was prompted by a Facebook discussion.

Thanks to Heidi and Jim, I was able to provide the logo, and the current logo.

I said this about it, grumbling:

Further to my ennui with the PC crowd, and my previous reference to my childhood school system, I don't know the name of the model, if there was one, but all the teams of Penfield Central Schools (NY, near Rochester) were the Penfield Chiefs.

This is the logo found on every bit of memorabilia/merch (not so labeled at the time), including lunchroom plates, per one of my correspondents when I asked for the logo, of that era.

To the best of my knowledge, there was NEVER anything other than pride in being associated with him, and never any denigration of his mythical existence by anyone or entity for the entire time of his reign.

PC intruded, and NYS schools were instructed to remove any and all reference to our Iroquois and other tribal forebears/earlier-residents, and thus, it's now the Penfield Patriots.

No thanks to FB, you'll have to click the first pic to see our Chief; our Angry Bird, being square, is visible without that kludge.

GRRRR

Again, thanks to Heidi for the logo, and Jim for the enhancement.

We now return you to our regular programming ☺

All who care, others please delete.

I promise this is my last spam to your inbox 😬.  Changed “Class of 1962” to “Class of 1963”.  Fun with Photoshop.

I cared and am glad to get this.  Skip, guess you started this.  Thank you and Jim.  We may be getting a little older, but the memories will never leave us.

Don, you are among our great memories and we are grateful for having known you! You mean much more to me than the Chief!

Fondly,
