This is a book review scanned from the Journal of Near Death Studies written by the psychiatrist-sister of a renowned artist and 60-year friend of mine.
The subject-book is a recently published compendium of the entire history of academic NDE and related paranormal research by, arguably, the foremost researcher in these overlapping fields, UVA professor Dr. Bruce Greyson. The review provides respectable coverage of this exceptionally thorough book.
The Journal is published by the International Association for Near Death Studies (IANDS, www.iands.org) begun at the University of Connecticut about 40 (?) years ago. Their journal is published quarterly. My collection covers about 30 years of them.
There is likely no other simultaneously brief and comprehensive source of knowledge about human reality that can be derived from these fields of science, and I know of nothing that is as validated and reassuring at times like this.
