প্রথমত, ক্যাপ্টেন মাজেদ ধরা পড়ার পর বাংলাদেশ মিডিয়া যেমন সরগম ছিল, রিসালদার মোসলেমুদ্দিনের বেলায় সেটা দেখছি না। শেষ খবরটি ছিল ভারতীয় গোয়েন্দা কথিত মোসলেমউদ্দিন কে বাংলাদেশের কর্তৃপক্ষের কাছে হস্তান্তর করেছে। তার পর আর কোন সংবাদ আমি  দেখিনি, যদিনা মিস করে থাকি।

দ্বিতীয়ত, বড়ুয়া বাবুর প্রচারিত দ্বিতীয় ভিডিওটি সম্ভবত মোসলেমউদ্দিনের। লুঙ্গিপড়া হাতুড়ে ডাক্তার। তিনি এই ভিডিওটি কোথায় পেলেন জানিনা, তবে ভিডিওতে আপনারাই ছবি মিলিয়ে দেখুন তা বাংলদেশের পূর্ব প্রচারিত ছবির সাথে মিলে কিনা। আমিতো কোন মিল খুঁজে পাচ্ছি না। মুক্তি যুদ্ধে মোসলেমউদ্দিন আমাদের সাথে ছিল। ৮ম বেঙ্গলে একজন নায়েব সুবেদার হিসাবে (প্ৰাক্তন পাকিস্তানী ট্যাঁক বাহিনীর সদস্য), সিলেট অঞ্চলে। একটু ভারিক্কি গোছের দেহ। বর্তমানে তার বয়স ৮০ বা তার বেশিও হতে পারে। একবার প্রচার করা হয়েছিল যে মোসলেমউদ্দিন মারা গেছে। ভিডিওতে যাকে দেখানো হয়েছে, তার বয়স ষাটের মত হতে পারে। আগরতলা চৌকির তলা।  

 তৃতীয়ত, ১৫ ই আগস্টের হোতাদের কে "খুনি" বলে অপবাদ দেয়া হচ্ছে। বিচার করে ফাঁসিও দেয়া হয়েছে। মানি, কিছু খুন খারাবি হয়েছিল সেদিন, যা দুঃখজনক। কিন্তু তারা কি খুন করতে গিয়েছিল ? মুজিবের সাথে বা তাঁর পরিবারের সাথে কি তাদের কোন ব্যাক্তিগত দ্বন্দ্ব ছিল ? মারতে যাবে কেন ? আমরা জানি, একটি গণবিরোধী, অত্যাচারী সরকার পরিবর্তনই ছিল তাদের লক্ষ্য। সেই লক্ষ্য অর্জিত হয়েছে। মুজিবের ঘনিষ্ঠ সহযোগীরাই হুড়মুড় করে পরবর্তী সরকার গঠন করে, যখন কিনা মুজিবের লাশ সিঁড়িতে পড়ে। ক্যাপ্টেন মেজররা নয়। সমগ্র জনতা, সারা দেশ সেই অভ্যুত্থানকে স্বাগত জানায়। সূর্য সন্তান বলে আখ্যায়িত করে। কারণ তারা সেদিন দেশটিকে উদ্ধার করেছিল, বাঁচিয়েছিল। আওয়ামী নেতা মালেক উকিলের ভাষায় অত্যাচারী ফেরাউন থেকে রক্ষা করেছিল।  

অতএব, যদি ফাঁসিতে ঝুলাতেই হয়, বাংলাদেশের সকল সশস্ত্র বাহিনীকে (যারা সেই অভ্যুত্থানকে সমর্থন দিয়েছিল) ঝুলাতে হবে।  সমগ্র জাতিটাকেই ঝুলাতে হবে, যারা সেদিন মুজিবের পতনে উল্লাস করেছিল, মুক্তি পেয়েছিল।

আগে নিজের সৃষ্টি কর্তাকে চিনুন। মনে রাখবেন:

Very good points. 

Actually they could fast yearlong, it’s their business. Our problem is that they disturb others in doing so, I’m taking about Bangladesh! There are many factors, just three are:

They force all food stores, restaurants to be closed. 

They bang all houses at 3am to wake up and eat shehri! 

And the loud Azan at 4am or so!! 

Who will tell them, please don’t disturb others!!

Anyway, they will attack you and me!! If I would write this in Bangladesh, they would burn my house, maybe my sister..

Thanks to Ms. Farida Majid for quoting a beautiful Quranic verse, written in her own fine calligraphy and appropriate Bangla translation. I greatly appreciate it reciprocate the sentiment on this holy Ramadan. 

Ms. FM once mentioned that whatever good things she learned, it was from the Quran ( or something like that).  That spoke of her Islamic and Arabic knowledg and background. However, at times, I am somewhat baffled at her misguided and weird political ideology and perception. Nothing wrong really. Everyone has the right to follow one's own belief, conviction and interpretations on an issue or event. But when one refused to call a spade a spade or tries to make a black into white, then becomes the problem. She believes that Mujib could not do any wrong and BAKSAL was the best prescription for Bangladesh, at the same time thinking that Ziaur Rahman was the worst person the country ever produced. No sane person can say or accept that. It certainly goes against her faith, and definitely against her mential health.  

What is interesting that Ms. FM quicky changed the topic, perhaps in an attempt to bail Suhas Barua out when some relevant questions were posed to him on the August 15. Barua and FM and their likes have no answers to the questions. So, the Quranic appeal. Nince attempt, Ms. FM.

What is the problem with thes Babus? Mr. Suhas B quoted follwing three issues about Ramadan:

I believe you live in the US, Mr. Barua. Where did you see them closed? If Corona confinement made you wild, don't put it on Ramadan. In Bangladesh and other Muslim countries, some shops and restaurants are closed during daytime because there are no customers. There is no official order for such closures, if any. And I don't think there is any restriction for non-Muslims to shop and eat during daytime in those countries (I have been to many Muslim countries around the world, even in Ramadan). If you don't find any shop, I can only say that you were at a wrong place.

Where did you get that weird idea? Maybe in olden days, in some remote areas. And if they did, they didn't do it on Baruas or on non-Mulsim doors. Today, every household has alarm clock. 

And the loud Azan at 4am or so!! 

No Muslim will get disturbed on the sound of Azan, which is usually so soothing. Quote me one. If you are disturbed, I say again, you are at a wrong place. 

Three sides of my village home have Hindu houses. In the evening, there are wild sounds of Kansa, dhol, shankh, flute and Uludhani. Hindus have বারো বমাসে তের কাতি। Such celebrations and noise goes virtually round the year. I never heard any Muslim complaining. 

And Mr Bain's "abusing human health!" 

In my many decades of adult life, I have not seen anyone falling sick while fasting in Ramadan, even during the hottest and longest days. In Malaysia, I have seen boys and girls as young as 7-8 years fasting with no problem, even though it was not compulsory for them. They did it for fun. Besides, Islam gives utmost importance to health. Ramadan is not necessary for sick, for young (upto the age of 14), for old age and some other disabled categories. Our good friend Razzak Syed can perhaps quote a few Qurani verses and hadiths on this. 

And pricing? It is subjective. Ramadan is the blessed month for Muslims. They try to lead good, pious and healthy life during Ramadan.Iftar is more of a celebrations with entire family, relatives and friends together. It is like a party. Muslims don't mind spending a little extra during Ramadan. If non-Muslims find it difficult, they are at wrong places. 

Mr. Bain, perhaps you are not aware, Jews have stricter fastings at certain holy times. I beleive even Hindus observe fast on certain occasions.

Finally, leave religion alone. It is one's own choice. Please do not offer opinion or give fatwa on something you have no idea. It goes for all denominations of faith.

In Bangladesh, Hindu minorities are running the government... 50% of high govt positions today are held by Hindu minorities, specially in Police, Admin  and Education. How come any attack happen on minorities in Bangladesh? Can only happen in made up stories... 

So, In Ramadan, Muslims are attacking on Hindus? Where did you find it? Can you mention one such incident from a first class newspaper reporting? Prothom-alo  news is also okay.

   Sukhamaya Bain, where did you see Islam in 1971 war?

Sukhamaya Bain doesn't seem to have brain when he says "...the numbers of people who died and suffered miserably in 1971 due the Islam virus in people's brains. Hindus were indiscriminate targets of murder and heinous brutality; and a lot of Muslims were similarly targeted for not being Muslim enough! Please use your common sense and reject religious stupidity and hatred for better life on Earth for your next generations." 

The fact of the matter is 1971 war was not between Islam and people with brain, it was between 3 parties working to attain their own self- interested goal.

(1) India wanted to divide Pakistan for its own long term goal. Hindus of Bangladesh wholeheartedly supported India and Awami League without any hesitation.

(2) Bhutto wanted to occupy power at the cost of the division of Pakistan and Yahya Khan as the commander wanted to save Pakistan at the cost of killing Bengalis including Hindus and the Awamis and anybody fighting for Bangladesh. Like Hindus supporting the Indian agenda, Jamat also supported the Pakistan agenda..

(3) In the name of fighting for democratic rights of Bengalis, Mujib wanted to become the king of Bangladesh to establish his so-called "Sonar Bangla" 's Sheikh dynasty. In the end Mujib got killed for betraying with the people, for saying one thing and delivering another thing.

I would like to ask this  Sukhamaya Bain to read Rao Farman Ali's Bhutto, Mujib and Bangladesh where he says, during the first week of March 1971 he went to Pakistan to meet Yahya Khan in Islamabad.  As he entered the president's house, he say in the lobby three people, Bhutto standing, drinking scotch Yahya was already drunk and there was Yakub Khan sitting with Yahya Khan. Bhutto standing, Farman Ali said in the book, seeing them drunk when he witnessed East Pakistan was burning gave him the thought that it was as if Rome was burning and Nero was playing flute. 

In this whole scenario, I don't see any idea of Islam playing any role but anti Islamic generals getting ready to kill both Muslims and non Muslims opposing the existence of Pakistan.

What do you say to this Sukhamaya Bain? You don't seem to have any brain. No wonder why Brahmins still treat you as an untouchable!

Well articulated, Br. Abid Bahar. Just sharing a few lines from respected Br. Zoglul Husain, I may add that India's plan to break Pakistan was as old as from 1947 (admitted by JN Dixit, a former Indian Foreign Secretary) and the idiotic Pakistani generals offered it in a platter in 1971. Bengalis of East Pakistan wanted to fix the economic disparity and freedom from the domination of the Punjabi overlords, which turned into a war of independence when the Pakistan military launched its genocide on March 25, 1971. After nine months and a sea of blood, they won victory. 

Interestingly, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman gave the call for Ebarer Songram Swadhinotar Songram, but fled from  songram when it knocked at his door on the night of March 25. Mujib and his family, Sheikh Hasina included, availed the royal hospitality of Pakistan military  during the entire period of the war, when million other Bengalis died and suffered at the hands of the same military.  

Now tell me Mr. Bain, where did Islam play on ground in 1971? According to you, Hindus faced the Pakistani massacres in 1971, but can you count the number of Hindu Shaheeds of war, compared to Muslims?  

Secondly, tell me Mr. Bain and the coterie, how would you brand those who willingly surrendered and availed the Pakistani hospitality during war? Was that Mukti Juddher Chetona?

You are right, brother Alim. There are huge examples of fabrications/faking in the social media with exceptions.

 Plus, I request brothers not to be misusive toward anybody, even if they are nasty.

I saw a few, not all postings, abusive ones are disservice from any viewpoint. We need more and more refuse to Allah SWT. 

I don't have time to retort back though I feel bad, especially to the mean threatening one of Mr. Suhas. Maybe few Muslims care this type meanness. Allah SWT/God is there to take care of every body.

Any sectarian attack against any other community is despicable. Condemable. Over the past year or decade, it is not only the Hindus who perhaps suffered, if the reprts are true. Muslims and some other minority communities also came under attack from vested groups, mostly political. Some of the issues or conflicts had nothing to do with religion; they could be pure social and it happened with all communities. And, invariably the ruling class was found involved. For the past decaded, a Hindu-friendly and a Secular party is ruling. The evidence is the growing percentage of minority (8-9%) Hindus in administration, about 25%, as admitted by the counrtry's Foreign Minister. Despite all these, if Hindus came under attack by the ruling authorities (no other party has any standing in the country for the past 12 years), there must be something wrong with the community iteself.  

Presidents Ziaur Rahman and Ershad were blamed for removing Secularism from constitution. None of them were fundamentalists. They did it on the demand of majority Muslims ( 90%) of the country. Because, earlier the application of secularism in the society was seen as anti-Islamic rhetoric. But, removal of secularism did not take away the rights of minority communities; they enjoyed equal rights with majority. Nobody stopped their religious freedom. Cite me an example of that period. The so called Secularists are neither Muslims nor Hindus; they are mostly aethists. And, they always attacked Islam: its Azan, Milad, Qurabani, Ramadan, Hajj, Waas, prayers etc. But they don't find anything wrong in Hindus or Christians activiteis and festivities during their বারো মাস তেরো কাতি। 

My home district (Chandpur) has sizeable Hindu community. In my 6 decades of adult life, I have not seen any attack or displacement of Hindus in my area. I believe S Guha comes from the same area. Can this greatest Hindu of all time cite an example, if I missed?  Yes, some of them left for India or western coutries for their own convenience, but not under any compulsion. 

Finally, my question to the writer of the Bangla article, who opined that  "মুক্তি যুদ্ধের উদ্দেশ্য বঙ্গবন্ধুর মৃত্যুর পরই ব্যারথতায় প্রজ্যবসিত হয়।"  Can he please let us know what was the মুক্তি যুদ্ধের উদ্দেশ্য Sheikh Mujib followed during his rule of 44 months? Second, can you cite an occasion when Mujib talked about "Secularism" before or in 1971 (Well, Mujib was absent from the liberation war, so he could not have said it during the war) ? People of Bangladesh heard of the term Secularism after Sheikh Mujib landed in Bangladesh in January 1972. Rumor goes that when he met Indira Gandhi in New Delhi on his way to Bangladesh, the Indian PM gave Mujib two mantras: Secularsim and Amar Sonar Bangla.
