First, I am not sure about the faiths of the victims. Source may be cited.

Second, it is not a religious riot; it should not be colored that way. It is a fight against the controversial CAA. If there are more Hindu victims, it signifies that majority Hindus are against the CAA and they faced the onslaught of the BJP-RSS attacks. It is ridiculous to assume that official and ruling  party forces suffered more than the protesters.

I would have said that you are an honorable man, SG, had you narrated some of the heinous atrocities committed by the Hindu mobs in the SILENT presence of the POLICE. I have seen the videos of the inflammatory speeches of the top Indian politicians.(I am sure you have too). How can you write what you have written and expose yourself. It is madness on your part.

The Supreme Court of India like the SCOTUS here has become biased in favor of the government and Modi is about to expand it by 30 more judges of his choice. God help Indian justice system.

Just one example: the Judges of SCI concluded that the mob action at the mosque was WRONG and reprehensible. but they gave the victory to the aggressors because of the majority SENTIMENTS. (I have read the judgement). Also cricketer Saif of the BD team leaving India one day late had to pay a fine of $200 while his team mate Liton Das had to pay $2 only for the same offense, on the same day at the same time and same flight. The fine is normal, the difference of the amount for members of two religious groups is DISCRIMINATORY to say the least.This is official rule of the Reserve Bank of India which now also mandates new account applicants to banks and other financial organizations to state their RELIGION when opening an account! ( To ensure favoritism one section of the people and/or to discriminate against a section, Muslims, of its own people) Can you believe it. Even PK does not have this kind of rules.

Mr. Guha, please do not degrade yourself any more.Support the right. oppose the wrong in thought word and deed.If you are unable to oppose due to personal reasons,keep quiet. I am a bit disappointed in you ( Perhaps you don't care.)

Of course, SG doesn't care. If he did, he would have not talked all these nonsence and exposed himself to such narrow and one-sided mentality. What surprises me is that he does all these for Modi, Modi's RSS and India, even though that is not his country of origin. (If I am not wrong, he once wrote that he came from Chandpur of Bangladesh).  What could be more ludicrous than to assume that the world has only three men: Modi, Trump and Netanyahu. I thought some Hindus drink cow discharges only, but I now see they find it in other sources. 

Being a Hindu, it is his individual right to think that Hinduism is the "greatest" and "best religion" in the world. I am not sure if Hinduism taught him to dismiss all other faiths, particularly Islam, and find faults with them at every breath. He once tried to lecture me that I did not have the mental and cultural excellence to understand Hinduism, perhaps meaning that the one billion Hindus around the world come from the top human stock and hold the highest cultural degrees of attainment. Fine. I had said it before, my village home has Hindus living around us and I have seen their level of mind and culture. I have many Hindu friends around me. I need not learn more. Some of them would be ashamed of a fellow Modi-Hindu. 

My advise to SG is to stay happy with his faith and PS (Priya Saha) and not to interfere with things outside his purview of knowledge and understanding.

One of the dead body was found in a nearby drain and had 400 stab wounds! Who else than ISIS, Al-Quida can be more brutal? The Islamic fanatics, criminals and terrorists of Bangladesh and Pakistan have no moral basis to talk about the sufferings of Indian Muslims. Muslims are by far the most religion-crazy people in the world; and that is the principal reason behind their sorry predicament in much of the world, especially in Muslim-majority countries. For example, even now, no sane Muslim would migrate from India to Pakistan for a better quality of life. I have seen too many Muslims with the PhD degree who are too stupid when it comes to what they have been brainwashed to think as their religion. I would have said that you are an honorable man, SG, had you narrated some of the heinous atrocities committed by the Hindu mobs in the SILENT presence of the POLICE. The Supreme Court of India like the SCOTUS here has become biased in favor of the government and Modi is about to expand it by 30 more judges of his choice. God help Indian justice system.

Just one example: the Judges of SCI concluded that the mob action at the mosque was WRONG and reprehensible. but they gave the victory to the aggressors because of the majority SENTIMENTS. (I have read the judgement). Also cricketer Saif of the BD team leaving India one day late had to pay a fine of $200 while his team mate Liton Das had to pay $2 only for the same offense, on the same day at the same time and same flight. The fine is normal, the difference of the amount for members of two religious groups is DISCRIMINATORY to say the least.This is official rule of the Reserve Bank of India which now also mandates new account applicants to banks and other financial organizations to state their RELIGION when opening an account! ( To ensure favoritism one section of the people and/or to discriminate against a section, Muslims, of its own people) Can you believe it. Even PK does not have this kind of rules.

Mr. Guha, please do not degrade yourself any more.Support the right. oppose the wrong in thought word and deed.If you are unable to oppose due to personal reasons,keep quiet. I am a bit disappointed in you ( Perhaps you don't care.)

Could you elaborate what CAA is? 

I heard, if Bangladesh Cricket team goes to play in India for a T20, or an ODI or a Test, and if Liton Das does an overstay there beyond what the visa allowed, he will be paying 250 rupees fee per day, but if the same is done by his fellow teammate, like Mushfiq ur Rahim, he will have to pay 7000 rupees fee per day (as punishment). 

Can you explain/comment on this also?

Thank you, Taj Hashmi Bhai, for your perspectives in recent Indian history to point at (i) India's deep-seated problems of slavery in the form of the Dalit system, (ii) oppression on the Dalits by the upper castes, and also (iii) the large-scale killings of Muslims in the name of Hindutva, as an example of which you mentioned the destruction of the Babri Mosque by BJP-RSS to divert attention from the Dalit issues. You also referred to the Marxist view of "false consciousness", through which the oppressed often think that the oppressor's policies are beneficial to the whole society, including the oppressed, and this can be clearly seen without going into the philosophical, sociological or political theories relating to the view of "false consciousness". 

In the past I circulated emails to point at the stratification of the Indian society, which consists of (i) slavery in the form of Dalit system (ii) apartheid in the form of the caste system, and (iii) pogrom of the non-Hindus, and these trample human rights totally and absolutely. In 2018, I wrote: 

"India's Dalit system is a slavery (it is worse than slavery, in that a slave can be bought and freed, but a Dalit cannot be freed, he/she remains a Dalit for generations, as long as a Dalit remains within the fold of Hinduism). The Dalits and semi-Dalits are classed (by the Indian govt) as Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Other Backward Classes (OBC). They constitute about 75% of Indian population. Hence, 75% of Indian population are under a slavery system. The remaining 25% are under an apartheid system of 4 castes (4 tiers of supremacy): Brahmins, Kshatriyas, Vaishyas and Shudras. There are also tensions between the 20-30 nations, which constitute India, and India can fall apart. On top of all these, instigated by RSS-BJP and their likes, thousands of communal riots were perpetrated in India, in which hundreds of thousands of non-Hindus were killed. 

In ancient Greece there was limited democracy, but women, slaves and immigrants did not have any vote. In India, the people under slavery and apartheid can vote but they remain under slavery and apartheid. Struggle for emancipation has been going on and we fully support the movement."  

The Dalit system and the caste system should be banned and abolished. About the Muslims in India, the Sachar Committee report (2006) in India noted, "An issue highlighted was that while Muslims constitute 14% of the Indian population, they only comprise 2.5% of the Indian bureaucracy. The Sachar Committee concluded that the conditions facing Indian Muslims was below that of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes." Muslims are now being persecuted in a large scale. There are protests throughout India. Many Hindus including Dalits have joined the movement. Full support for the movement. The Muslims, the Dalits, the poor and the oppressed along with the liberals and the progressives must forge an alliance in order to fight the fascist oppressors. BJP-RSS openly support Hitler-Mussolini, and their ideology is totally fascist. All anti-fascist forces of the world must unite and fight the fascism represented by Trump, Johnson, Netanyahu, Modi, Hasina, MBS, MBZ, Sisi, and their likes. The oppressors will certainly be defeated in the end.

The "beauty" of Hindutva is all about what Marx calls arousal of "false consciousness" among the underdogs (including Shudras and so-called Untouchables, before and after 1947). In 1990, VP Singh, one of the  most egalitarian and civil Prime Ministers India ever had (another worth mentioning name here is IK Gujral, in this regard) abruptly published the Mandal Commission Report, which reserved quotas for the so-called Dalits or Harijans in the Government Service. This led to a country-wide upper Caste violent demonstration against the Quota. Many young so-called High Caste Hindus even committed self-immolation, burnt themselves to death in New Delhi. These violent protests led to the end of VP Singh Government and the implementation of the Mandal Commission Report.

What followed the end of VP Singh, is the clever manipulation of Hindu upper and lower castes, including the Shudras and Untouchables, on communal line. Advani started hs infamous Chariot Procession (Ratha Yatra) across Northwest India demanding the demolition of the Babri Mosque, which some Hindu fanatics believed (they still believe) had been built on a temple on the Birth Place of Rama (the Janma Bhumi) in Ayodhya. Although no archaeological evidences support their false claim. And Ayodhya in the Ramayana was altogether a different place than the city of Ayodhya in the UP. Anyway, on 6th December 1992, Advani and tens of thousands of his Hindutva fanatics demolished the barb Mosque. And the BJP, with the blessings from fascist RSS, Bajrangi Dal, Shiv Sina and their likes mobilized Untouchable Hindus against Muslims or Babar-ki-Aulad. And, the magic of false consciousness has been working since 1990. The Slave Untouchable Shudras, since then are dancing to the communal/fascist tune of Hindutva. This wretched Bain is one of them. I can only pity these communal, fascist slaves of the Upper Caste Hindus.

I used to know Mr Guha a little bit even from Bangladesh and in NYC too. In 2017,  I met him in NYC again on my way to see another former BD-Journalist bhai, now works in the immigration field. I just mentioned to that brother about Guha Da', that bro had a "bad" comment I did not expect!

However, we should not be frustrated about his (SG's) role (that I call his self-exposition), I see some brothers do and use some adjectives/attributions out of decorums that frustrates me a little bit!

On 7 December, 5,000 Muslims armed with iron rods and bamboo sticks tried to storm into the Dhaka National Stadium, where the match between Bangladesh and India A was under progress. The police fired tear gas and rubber bullets to stave off the attackers, but the match was abandoned after 8.1 overs.^[4] The organizers rescheduled the match on 10 December and the final between India A and Pakistan A on 11 December, but both of them were eventually cancelled.^[5][6]

On 8 December, Hindus were attacked in Kutubdia Upazila in Cox's Bazar District. Muslims attacked 14 Hindu temples, eight of them were burnt and six damaged. 51 Hindu houses in Ali Akbar Dale and another 30 in Choufaldandi.^[7] In Sylhet, one house was burnt in the heart of the town and 10 other temples were torched.

In Chittagong District, the Fatikchari and Mireswari villages were burnt completely. Five Hindu temples including Panchanan Dham and Tulsi Dham were attacked and damaged.

By the time the situation cooled off a total of 10 people were reportedly killed, 11 Hindu temples and several homes destroyed.^[8][9]

It's the gandha guha guy who started attacking and accusing and vilifying all Muslims of the world by using foul and filthy invectives. He has been doing so for years. I fully support those who confronted him with similar language. He deserves to be mercilessly retaliated back with a strong language, even stronger and more brutal and more pungent, if possible. Who says it's a waste of time? Not at all. It is simply very right and proper and appropriate to do. A few Muslim brothers and sisters have fought back with strong words only, nothing else, calling a spade a spade. While some weak minds are wrongly advocating to be as cool as cucumber as if they are the North American version of the BNP, others have had the honest courage to fight back the fanatical and fundamentalist guha spreading hate against Islam and Muslims and supporting Hindu horrors. Let people protest with at least words, if not hands. If they remain quiet and polite and decent and innocent, as some Muslim brothers are wrongly preaching, ghoulish guha guys will attack Islam and Muslims even more. Gullibility of simpletons cannot be a weapon against the animus-fomenting garrulity of gandha guhas. Please do not be a forum version of other soft and kind and compassionate entities only to send a wrong message of weakness and timidity to the communal hate mongers. So I welcome strongly worded response to Islam-bashing guha guys. Thanks to those who already did. There can be no better and more useful use of time for Muslims to be rewarded this way or that way.

Salam and greetings. Indecency and strength are two different things. One shouldn't be confused with other. It's weakness to be as cool as cucumber in reacting to the foul and filthy. Islam suggested strength in protesting the unjust. That's how all other Muslim brothers and sisters in this forum did in confronting the evil coming from some Hindus. Please let me reiterate,  I fully support their strong reaction expressed through strongly worded language, including the two fine individuals you mention. Please read their responses fully, not partially, before you make a blind comment. In fact, all brothers and sisters were even more strong in facing the Hindu invectives against Islam. I applaud them. Tit for tat. We condemn the weakness of others but we're cowardly to advocate weakness for ourselves. That's a double standard, totally unacceptable and unjustifiable.

Sorry, it is also a sweeping comment that I did not read the sister's and bro's very brief comments. Supporting them in this case mean that I agree with a comment like:"কুত্তার লেজ ককখনও সোজা হয় না।" 

However, I will take the best one, and I/we all need (if Muslims) to follow "Our Prophet PBUH said not to engage in useless arguments."

Those who know me (ZA), know me as one of the best protesters and hardliners on principle (a non-compromiser) all over my life, Al-Hamdulillah!---even my father used to repent and wonder to have my name after the name of Imam Zainul Abedin (the lone male survivor in Karbala, because he was very sick to join the fight) who rebuked Yazid, even when he was taken into custody. May Allah forgive me if there is any bragging, and I am not of that stature, but try to be a follower of Imam, and of course, of the best Prophet!

I think all those brothers and sisters who strongly reacted spent their valuable time in meaningful discussion.
