Hi,

I'm just the messenger for a post I saw online by Organics NZ asking for expressions of interest in keeping dung beetles in continued coexistence with livestock in NZ.

It could be quite relevant to some folks on here.

One comment on the original post mentioned that the original colonies were very pricey to buy... however I don't see why established colonies couldn't be shared within the community like we do with worms (unless the programme facilitators are trying to regulate their use, which I hope is not the case).

Anyway, just putting it out here in case anyone is interested to pursue these seemingly very beneficial symbionts.

I hope to see you on the 1st for the fermentation hui at Mangarara Station.

We have an excellent community of dung beetles and I’m happy to share with anyone who would like to harvest some and collect. We are on Pakipaki Rd.
