Join us for a Mexican inspired shared lunch as we explore the journey of corn from dried kernels to masa harina, and finally to fresh, homemade tortillas.
Louise Phillips from Bee Haven will guide us through the process of preparing and grinding corn before demonstrating how to mix, press, and cook delicious tortillas from scratch. It's a great opportunity to learn a practical food processing skill, connect with others, and enjoy sharing a meal together.
During the workshop we'll explore:
After the demonstration, we'll enjoy a Mexican inspired potluck lunch together. Please bring a plate of food, dessert, or a drink to share.
We'll also be holding a seed and plant swap, so if you have spare seeds, seedlings, cuttings, or other propagation material, bring them along to swap with others.
