Dear colleagues

Thank you for such a positive response to our Doodle poll!  We now have the most popular date/time… so

We would like to invite you to join us on the  webinar "Working with people toward conservation solutions", by Dr Alistair Bath on Tuesday the 14th of July 15.30-17.00 (London Time).

This first Expert led discussions led by Dr Alistair Bath (Memorial University, Newfoundland, Canada), one of the world leading experts in Human Dimensions of wildlife conservation, will focus on conflict resolution in reintroductions. The pdf attached is a sample of the work developed by Alistair, which includes workshops and talks.  Bio also attached.

“My name is Alistair Bath and I am looking forward to taking you around the world to a variety of my research sites (e.g., Scottish capercaillie conservation, Croatia wolf management, India tiger issues, Brazil jaguar issues, First Nation issues in Canada regarding moose, bison and caribou issues among others where I integrate human dimensions (HD) as a research and applied tool to achieve conservation solutions. I attach information regarding a detailed Human Dimensions applied and research-oriented course if your organization would like to learn more and a description of some of the issues I will discuss during our webinar.

Basically, if you want practical and proven successful ways to work with people to achieve conservation solutions, and understand how HD isn't simply an academic theoretical research tool, but can be valuable, if integrated and used effectively, come join me for an information exchange and hopefully future opportunities to work together on projects. I'll walk you through a four phased conservation approach that works. In fact in all my efforts developing management plans and working with groups I have achieved 100% consensus, meaning everyone in the room agrees with the outcome. I look forward to working with all of you in the near future.

Best regards...Alistair”

Hi folks
I’m looking forward to hearing Alistair’s webinar, but it will be 12:30 AM here in Sydney.
Is there a plan to record it so those of us in far-flung time zones can access the webinar at a time more conducive to concentration?
Thanks!
Vic
