Dear People and Wildlife group,
I would like to introduce you the ENCOSH project, a recent international platform to foster the exchange of knowledge, skills and experiences between various stakeholders worldwide to tackle Human - Wildlife interaction issues: https://encosh.org/en/
As part of this project, our core team is currently creating Working Exchange Groups (WEG) of different wildlife groups (e.g. Bear, Elephant, Primates, Wolf, Jaguar & Puma...) or specific Human-Wildlife Conflicts issues and solutions. You can find further details on the role of such groups in the enclosed document.
Would some of you be interested in joining a WEG? Alternatively, please feel free to share with me any contacts who could be interested in joining such groups.
Finally, you are all invited to join the platform for searching or publishing initiatives, sharing any feedback and experience or using the forum. Sharing any initiative would be particularly appreciate so that others could learn and inspire from it.
I remain available for any further information or guidance you may require.
Best regards,

Dear Tommy,
I would be interested in learning more about this – we (our key managers in Tanzania are copied here) might be able to help form a WEG around the topic of payments for conservation, specifically looking at how performance payments might play a role in incentivizing human-wildlife coexistence. I am looking forward to learning more,
Best wishes,
Amy

Dear Tommy,
I would be very interested in participating and contributing to WEG. I currently have a number of projects investigating both ecological and human dimensions of carnivore-livestock interactions in South Africa (and potentially soon to be Australia too) and my focus is always on methods to enhance coexistence. I look forward to hearing more about this initiative.
Kind regards
Kat

Dear Tommy
This is a wonderful initiative and I am happy to contribute. I worked with colleagues in assessing Conflict between spotted-necked otters and fishermen and have accessed the stakeholder assessment of human–elephant conflict in Benin.
