Hi -

Till now we used Pentaho on windows box . Recently we want to explore more and proceed with pentaho using docker on VM . I am browsing through the documents relating to docker and the images in the docker hub that are available . But each one of them are talking about care setup and all

1. I just want to understand , is it really possible to setup pentaho as container (no carte ,no cluster setup)?

2. If so , can i be able to map the port and open the spoon on the port ? Because in the docker run commands for all the images I am seeing carte.sh etc , but no simple - spoon.sh?  So if I run the docker container , How I can open the spoon from my local machine - do i need to open in the browser the machine with the corresponding port?

3.Is there any image available for this setup? I am just confused if I am on the right track or not ?

Did anybody setup a simple environment like this ? I would really appreciate any help in there .

Thanks a lot!!

Hi!
I recently had a request for a docker container running spoon in a server and display it on a local machine.
Dunno if is what you want.
Is based on Xpra with a ssh connection.
The image has a 6.1 Spoon version and setting for Italian keyboard, but is easy to tweak for other needs. Let me know.
The client needs only Xpra installed, tested both windows and linux.
