Dominic Mckenzie (b 1971, Chief Adviser to British Prime Minister Boris Johnston since 2019) s of Robert M CUMMINGS (b Oct 1946 reg Q4 Durham) by his 1970 m (reg Q4 Durham) to Morag McKenzie LAWS (b 1949 reg Q2 Sunderland, d of Dr Frederick LAWS and Dr Margaret Ross MCKENZIE (d of the well known Scots congregational minister John Grant MCKENZIE (1882-1963)) and sister of the former Lord Justice of Appeal Sir John Grant McKenzie LAWS (1945-2020), who died of Covid-19 in April 2020). He m 2012 Mary Elizabeth Lalage WAKEFIELD (b 1975) d of Sir Edward Humphry Tyrrell WAKEFIELD 2nd Bt (b 1936) and his 3rd w Hon Katharine Mary Alice BARING (b 1936) d of 1st Baron HOWICK of GLENDALE KG GCMG (1903-73) and Lady Mary Cecil GREY (1908-2002) d of 5th Earl GREY (1879-1963) and Lady Mabel Laura Georgina PALMER (1884-1958, d of 2nd Earl of SELBORNE (1859-1942) by his w a scion of the SALISBURY marquesses etc). How is “Cedd” pronounced? Hard “c” or soft “c” (or even “ch”)? Is the double consonant “d” or “th”?
