From the Times of 22 July 2013: COMPTON Michael Graeme, died at home with his family on 12th July 2013. Funeral Service at 2.30pm an Tuesday 30th July at St Andrew's Church, Limpsfield Chart. Family flowers only; donations to St Catherine's Hospice Crawley and Friends of Oxted Health Centre via undertakers, Alex Jones.

He was s of Joseph Nelid COMPTON OBE and Dorothy Margaret TOWNSEND (1898-1972). He m 1952 Susan Paschal (b 1930) d of Sir John Andrews BENN 3rd Bt (1904-84) and Hon Ursula Helen Alers HANKEY (Feb 1909-2006) d of 1st Baron HANKEY (1877-1963), and had 2 daus.
