The Old morse cable I removed was thicker than a quarter … and had been on my boat since it was built in 1976 ish .
The new cable was as thick as dime ..LOL

Yes maybe it was that thick .. Mine was RED and damn near impossible to cut even with Bolt cutters .
And it has the part number stamped into it .

Yeah, that is what he tells people and it isn't quite true. HE is no longer operating on Presumpscot st in Portland. However, the fellow that bought it from him IS selling off the inventory and plans to be open for at least the rest of this year. I talked to Jim and he also told me that the place was shut down. It is OPEN, Weds and Sats. You can reach out on FB to Linda, who runs the place. She is great and the prices are WAY different than they were under JIm. I just converted our P33 to wheel steering. She charged me about $300 for just about everything I needed. Pedestal, pedestal base pulleys, pedestal guard, compass, instrument pod, large stainless wheel, autopilot drive for wheel, radial drive wheel and eye bolts for rudder post and an old 1.25" bronze stuffing box for the rudder post since I had to cut away the factory fiberglass tube. I had riggingonly.com make me some new cables. (the drive chain was good).
