Has anyone dropped in an Origo 4100 two burner alcohol stove into the galley of a 10M?
I’d like to replace my Kenyon 505 pressurized 3 burner stove/oven to make room for a portable fridge in the oven space.
The Origo measures 24.5” across the top flange which would require cutting away part of the movable top and the fiddle between the stove and icebox counters.

Have you considered a 2 burner propane camp stove?

Trying to stay away from propane and already bought the Origo.

I agree about propane on the boat.  I don't like it either.  And the Origo stoves are very simple which I do like.

I have the same thing in mind on my 10M and have an unused Origo 4000 stove that has been sitting in the basement while waiting for me to get on with the project.  The 4000 is functionally the same as the 4100 but it is 22.5" overall width.  So it can fit in the space. ( I don't know why the 4100 is so wide...)  I had this plan to mount it in the front of a drawer structure that pulls out for access to a storage bin that slides back under the outboard locker space.  That space that is somewhat difficult to utilize.  Then I was going to have a taller drawer bin below.  But I started thinking the whole thing was getting a bit heavy.

I also have an Origo 1500 single burner that sits on the countertop.  This has really been all I need for the way I use the boat.  It's come in handy in a multi-day blackout too.

I also just got a microwave and an inverter to run it that uses my 48V propulsion battery (13kWhr).

I have a SetPower PT55 12V fridge unit that I dropped in where the icebox was.  It has two bins either of which can be a fridge or a freezer.  I think it's 55L total volume.  It's popular with overlanders and will still work at a 45 degree tilt.  Its a compressor type and takes about 45 Watts when running.  I have about 3000 Watt hours of 12V house battery.  My crew was quite pleased when I pulled out ice cream several miles offshore.

Yeah, the 4100 is fully two inches wider. The “box” containing the two burners is 22.5” wide but there’s a 1” flange all the way around the top.
Maybe I could make a frame on top of the stove top panel around the hole to drop the stove into so I don’t have to cut the fiddle.

Are you removing the fiberglass pan that the stove sits in?  If so you'll need to cut it in half to get it through the companionway.  I have some photos here:
http://dan.pfeiffer.net/10m/icebox_anatomy.htm

I wonder if you could remove the fiddle at right side of stove space, route out a recess that the stove flange sits in so top of stove is flush with counter, then reinstall fiddle over it.  You probably need the recess to be less than the width of the fiddle which is about 1"?   You could make a new fiddle slightly wider too if needed.  And you would need to drop the flange on the other side to match.

You nay have noticed in my drawing that the bulkhead on fwd side of stove space is NOT perpendicular to boat centerline.  I expect there is some variation here from boat to boat.

Dan, I may just cut a hole in the stove box to receive the slides and fridge, but thanks for the heads up about it not fitting through the companionway. Discovering that fun fact mid project would be frustrating.
as for modifying the fiddle aft of the stove, i'm guessing it screws into the forward side of the cabinet that contains the icebox. so removing it to modify it might be easier than routing it out in place or just destroying it in place. Functionally i'm not sure if that fiddle is that important.

If your side view dimensions on that diagram is the same on my boat, I may have an issue with this particular fridge, which measures 28.1" deep, the dimension that would slide into the recess. Unless there is a couple inches behind the pan, the unit would stick out into the cabin an inch or two. I could live with that, but it wouldn't look as clean.

Here are some approximate dimensions I measured for the full space.  Hope this makes sense.

Thanks. That gives me hope.
I think it could be my wi yer project after living with the fridge on the upper berth this season. I may run a new wire from a new DC circuit instead of using the cord stretching across from the nav table.
