Querry related to Ethernet data packets logging

Hi ,

I have to make data logger for that I have to ensure that there is minimum or no data loss while writing the data in to the pcap file? 

Is there any specific mechanism that I can ensure this ?

I am using pcapplupls api for data logging but could not find about data loss related stats.

Please guide.

Hi Santosh,

I don't think there should be data loss when writing to a pcap file, unless you're trying to write too fast.

Did you notice a case of packet loss? If yes, can you describe the scenario that it happened?
