Position : Power BI Developer

Location : Remote (Cincinnati/OH)

Duration : 6 Months

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

•                 Working with Business Analysts and customers to understand the requirements for reports.

•                 Designing, developing, and testing PowerBI report solutions that satisfy requirements.

•                 Connecting to a SQL Server data warehouse, Dynamics 365, and/or Salesforce with PowerBI.

•                 Writing SQL queries and procedures in T-SQL to provide data for reports.

•                 Setting up data sets for PowerBI reports.

•                 Tuning the queries, datasets, and reports for maximum performance.

•                 Publishing reports to PowerBI Premium.

•                 Participating in training end users.

•                 Providing support for PowerBI reports.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

•                 Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Informatics, Information Technology or equivalent work experience.

•                 Minimum of 4 years' experience in developing PowerBI reports.

•                 Understanding of tuning of PowerBI reports, data sets, and SQL to deliver maximum report performance.

•                 Knowledge of methods in which to best present data for management decision-making.

•                 Must be able to build and maintain a positive relationship with vendors and internal suppliers and customers.

 

Key Responsibilities

•                 Identify and uphold Fullstack engineering best practices

•                 Collaborate with designers & product managers to iterate on the design & implementation of our product

•                 Work with Engineers from our consumers to build and ship features

•                 Design a framework for creating services that grows with the needs of the company

•                 Monitor performance, watch for traffic drops related to usability problems & rectify the issues

•                 Review app and feature code, and plan future API upgrades with the development team

•                 Assist in the development of applications & features that will be put on the website, mobile app, and external client apps

•                 Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies
