Title: Network Security Engineer

Location: Dallas, TX

Duration: Fulltime /  6-12 Months Contract

 

Network Engineer – Information Security

·        5 years security experience

·        7 years network switch, router, and firewall experience

·        2 years with Palo Alto firewalls

·        Industry Security certification such as CISSP

·        5 years PCI compliance enforcement

 

Responsibilities :

 

·        Design and implement monitoring tools and automation

·        Build, review, and enforce governance policies

·        Incident response, threat hunting, and penetration testing

·        Layered Security approach

·        Splunk and other SIEM implementations

·        Vendor and tool management

·        Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle and methods to provide security gates

·        Linux and Windows hardening

·        Azure cloud security solutions

·        Mentor on and off shore technical assets

·        Execute on day-to-day operations and maintenance of all the systems/components involved in Network Security, as directed

o   Maintain network security devices and technologies such as firewalls, VPNs, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), certificate management, packet brokers, DNS, DHCP and software defined networks (SDN) and network segmentation technologies

o   Maintain Certificate Authorities and Certificate validation infrastructures

·        Understanding of security, risk, and control frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001 and 27002, SANS-CAG, NIST, FISMA, COBIT, COSO and ITIL

·        Understanding of general networking and design (Firewalls, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, Routing, Load Balancing, TCP/IP, Packet trace and analysis)

·        Understanding of Azure Cloud
