Position : WebMethods Sr Developer

Locations: Houston /TX

 

  Responsibilities:

·         Participate in technical analysis activities to gather and document requirements for application to application integrations.

·         Translate technical requirements into specifications that will be used to implement solutions.

·         Participate in integration design activities working with Solution Architects, Technical Leads, and peer Team Members.

·         Responsible for building and unit testing point-to-point and end-to-end integrations.

·         Participate in integration testing and debugging activities.

·         Responsible for code deployments and participation in GO LIVE planning activities.

·         Responsible for developing operational documentation supporting integrations.

·         Responsible for integration monitoring and ongoing support activities including On-Call responsibilities.

·         Provide ongoing support as required to ensure the availability and performance of developed integrations.

·         Responsible for working with, and communicating to, IT shared services organizations to help coordinate cross-functional requirements with external Teams.

·         Ensure proper configuration management and change controls are implemented for your sphere of influence.

·         Provide technical assistance and cross training to other team members.

·         Design and implement technology best practices, guidelines and repeatable processes

·         Must be able to perform duties with moderate to low supervision

 

Required Skill:

·         7-9 years’ experience design, developing and implementing enterprise-scale integrations using Web Methods Service Oriented Architecture techniques and technologies including:

·         Ability to work in cross-functional Teams.

·         Experience designing and building SOAP and REST based integrations using WebMethods integration platform.

·         Experience working with Topics and Queues, Universal Message, MQ Series.

·         Experience working with Real Time & Near Real Time integrations, including Message Oriented based message handling techniques.

·         Solid background in database integration work including strong SQL coding capabilities.

·         Experience working with both Oracle, and SQL Server centric backend database integrations.

·         Excellent interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills are required to support working in project environments that includes internal, external and customer teams

·         Requires strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving abilities

·         Experience working in both Waterfall and Agile based project methodologies including familiarity working with the JIRA agile work management solution.

·         Experience working with automated software development operations solutions, i.e. Dev Ops tools and techniques.

·         Knowledge and experience with full SDLC [software development life cycle] software development phases including requirements, design, development, testing, debugging, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of integration solutions.

·         Ability to manage multiple priorities, and assess and adjust quickly to changing priorities
