Title: Network Engineer

Location: Dallas, TX

Duration: 6-12 Months Contract

 

The Network Engineer position stays up on the latest technologies and deployment strategies both in the cloud and on premise.  Core functions include assessing existing deployments for remediation efforts for performance, cost, and security.  Designing greenfield solutions and processes.  The project that this position works on would lead to best practice procedures that are passed on to the managed services team to implement and enforce throughout all of the client base while being an subject matter expert resource for those teams with a concentration on automation and integration into a deployment pipeline. 

 

Requirements:

·        5 years deploying and managing network equipment in a corporate setting

·        Experience with cloud solutions like Azure is a must

·        2 years of experience with a scripting language (PowerShell, Bash, Python)

·        Ability to elicit requirements from clients and developers on the solutions being implemented to build

Deployment plan

Disaster recovery plan

Connection profiles

Monitoring tools for health

Cost optimization

Security and compliance controls

·        Strong understanding of 3 tier application deployments

·        Understanding of authentication protocols and mechanics for SSO, Federation, and MFA

·        Windows Server 2012-2019 including DFS, IIS, CA, NPS, etc

 

Ideal candidate would also have:

1.      SIEM experience

2.      Compliance audit experience (PCI, GDPR, SOX)

3.      Understanding of endpoint security tools

4.      Microsoft EMS suite

5.      Certificate Management

6.      Group Policy

7.      SQL Server services
