Position :        AS400 Consultant  

Location   :   Katy, Texas from Day 1 Mandatory

AS400 Technical Lead

 

Job Description:

·       5 – 7 years of experience with deep knowledge and expertise with AS/400, RPG, RPG ILE, CL and SQL

·       Prior knowledge of a AS/400 based WMS application such as Manhattan PkMS or Exeter or similar , Experience with COBOL a plus. ProfoundLogic UI tool experience a plus

·       Technical consultant for Supply Chain/ WMS area with deep understanding of warehouse management system functionality

·       Act as a liaison between client, offshore teams and other onsite developers

·       Lead design, development, validation, QA coordination and implementation of WMS solutions.

·       Coordinate and keep track of offshore delivery and report progress/mitigate any schedule risks. Provide technical oversight to offshore development team

·       Interpret requirements into technical specifications, perform code review, smoke test, functional test etc to make code delivery ready for testing.

·       Coordinate with user community as required.

·       Assist in offshore model ramp-up and transition to steady state and management offshore resources in steady state

·       Experience with retail organization a plus

·       3 – 5 years in a onsite lead capability managing an offshore development team
