GENERAL INFORMATION:

Requirement: Junior SQL DBA - $40/hr on C2C

Location: Dallas, TX

MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE Visible on the resume: Cloud, SQL Server DBA, tabular model

Priority: Very High

Openings: 1 Architect and 2 Junior level positions

Principle Duties and Essential Job Functions:

• Provide technical support for SQL Server database environments, including testing and installation of DBMS upgrades and backup and recovery of existing databases

• Assist in documenting database strategies and architectures

• Monitor the performance of production systems and utilize appropriate tools to identify tuning requirements

• Participate in 24 x 7 page out/call out support on a rotating basis for production database support issues

• Participate in tool evaluation, integration and support

 

Nice to Have Skills:

• Programming experience in T-SQL, Powershell

• Excellent communications skills (both oral and written)

• Good interpersonal skills

• Active Directory Experience

• Any experience with DTS to SSIS conversions

• Data Warehouse administration experience

• Microsoft certification a strong plus

• MS SQL Server 2008/2014 DBA experience on multiple databases

• DBA and technical support for production database environments, including performance and tuning

• Windows 2003, 2008 Server OS

• Database Backup & Recovery

• Performance Tuning

• Database Server Installation & Configuration

• Subsystem infrastructure (64 bit, Fail over design, Log sizing, etc) implementation

• Familiarity with SQL Server in a clustered environment

• Experience with Integration Services, Analysis Services and Reporting Services

• Experience with Enterprise environment change control procedures
