Job Title – Release Engineer
Location – Santa Clarita, CA & Austin, TX (Day 1 Onsite)

Duration – 12 Months Contract

Client: TCS / Apple

Interview Mode: 2 rounds of WebEx interview

Job Description

 

Relevant Experience	3 years
Technical/Functional Skills	Experience in Git/GitHub, GitOps, Git Branching strategies, Set up guardrails on Git milestones, labels. Execute release cutovers, plan, and coordinate events and activities. Work independently with the development team, QA team, operation team, project management team, and external teams to triage issues.  Attention to detail is key
Experience Required	6 to 8 years
Roles & Responsibilities	Strong Operational Experience in Linux/Unix environment and scripting languages: Shell, Python. Strong Knowledge of Splunk for investigating or troubleshooting  problems on non-production environment Strong Knowledge and experience with Software Version Control systems: Git and GitHub/Gitlab Execute release cutovers, plan and coordinate events and activities. Experience implementing Java server applications using tools such as: Jersey, Jetty, Tomcat Knowledge of Webservers and Load Balancers Apache HTTP Server, Apache Traffic Server, Nginx, HAProxy. Solid experience in trouble shooting, debugging, and performance measurement. Work with the development team, QA team, operation team, project management team, and external teams to triage issues.
