Hi, I am new to using this tool and I tried to run the program using the tutorials on the site, but after executing the following command, the file synthesize_Synthesis_main_minimal_interface.sh   will not be generated. it only generate .mem and Verilog file.

/opt/panda/bin/bambu ../spec.c

Do you need to use another flag to run the program?

Dear Jack,
to create the synthesis script you need to pass option --evaluation.
In case bambu performs first a simulation, generating a simulation script, and then a synthesis by running a synthesis script.
Cheers,
Fabrizio

Hello, I am new to using this tool. I am getting the following issue. Please have a look and suggest the solution.
Screenshot on the left shows the files I obtained after running  /opt/panda/bin/bambu ../spec.c
However, the screenshot on the right shows the expected output files as per the tutorial.
On comparison, it can be seen that few more files are missing apart from  synthesize_Synthesis_main_minimal_interface.sh .

Somehow the screenshots didn't get paste in my previous question. But my query is simple that I am not able to get the same number of files after running /opt/panda/bin/bambu ../spec.c  as it was expected as shown in the panda tutorials( https://panda.dei.polimi.it/?page_id=555  ).

I have used the suggestion of adding --evaluation to the command but in the end I am getting error as shown below:
error -> Error in generating the expected test results.

This is the same error I am getting when I am doing simulation following section 4 in  https://panda.dei.polimi.it/?page_id=555

Please suggest me how should I proceed further to resolve these errors.

Are you using the panda-0.9.7 branch or the main branch?
Cheers,

I’m sorry but you have to chechout the panda-0.9.7-dev branch. The issue you have faced have been already fixed in such a branch.
Cheers,
Fabrizio

Does that mean I have to reinstall the tool for 0.9.7 branch? Can you please share the link which I should follow to avoid further issues?

try with:
2) git checkout panda-0.9.7-dev
3) mkdir build
4) cd build

in case you have already downloaded the project with git you may skip step 1), 3)  and 4). To avoid issue you need to clean the project with make clean when you will be in the build directory.

cheers,

Fabrizio

I started following the steps suggested by you.

Step 1)    Since I got error of permission denied when tried with  git clone g...@github.com:ferrandi/PandA-bambu.git . Therefore, I cloned the project using link https://github.com/ferrandi/PandA-bambu
Step 2)    I got error as shown in the attached file
