Hello,
Dr. Janjic and I will be presenting the attached article at pain journal club this Monday, November 12. We will provide some drinks and snacks. I hope to see you there!

Global health friends,
I’m excited to pass along a ‘save the date’ for an upcoming campus-wide global health event on February 12th, 2019 in the Power Center (see attached flyer). The event will coincide with the David F. Kelly Bioethics lecture, and will include posters/table presentations, networking opportunities and panel presentations surrounding the topic of global health. The poster/table session is aimed to gather submissions from faculty/staff/students across campus to highlight different aspects of global health practice, teaching and research. Submissions are welcomed that describe globally-relevant research, study-abroad courses, international partnership descriptions and more. I know this group has lots to contribute to this event.
A short abstract (100 words) is due to Gerald Boodoo (boo...@duq.edu) by January 29th, 2019 if you are interested to participate in the poster/table session. The other activities (lecture, reception and panel) are open to everyone. Please pass along to any students that might be interested in, and feel free to get in touch with me if you have any questions. More information will be released in the Spring semester, but it’s never too early to block off your calendar.
Thanks!

Hi All,
I hope the summer is going great.
We have our first Pain/Neuroscience seminar/journal club of the summer on Tuesday May 28 at 11:30-12:30 in Bayer 101A. (FYI - Dr. Lewter will be speaking with some undergraduate researchers 11-11:30am so please wait outside the room until 11:30am).
Dr. Keisha Lewter (Post-doc Kolber Lab) will present a seminar entitled "The analgesic profile of novel positive allosteric modulators of the GABAa receptorâ€.
If you are interested in reading up beforehand, attached is an article by Dr. Lewter.
I am not sure if there will be food available so please plan on bringing your own lunch.
Best,Ben
