Hi,
I've been struggling with Packer and the vsphere post-processor.
Packer can create my VM, run the provisionner and exporting as vmx to my packer server, but when it comes to upload it to a vcenter, it just stops without much of an explanation why.
I've been through a lot a tickets on this group and onto the github as well but couldnt find anything that could help. but I can't find anything in packerlog that could help me, it just says :

I've been using Packer 1.3.5 on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS.

Any help would be much appreciated.

UPDATE : I tried removing the post-processor bloc at the end of json, and launch the ovftool command that was failing (the one I posted) manually and it's working well.. My guess is some characters in the password are not being read by packer...Is there any informations about that anywhere ?

We url-encode the password, so that shouldn't be the issue. We also verify the username and password at the beginning of the run, so I don't think the issue is that you've typo'd your credentials. For now, you can try using the shell-local postprocessor to call ovftool directly as a workaround.
