Is it possible to add/inject the VMWare VM "vApp Options -> Advanced" like "product name","version","vendor" , etc ... during the creation of OVA using packer ?

please find the attached screenshot for more details.

Regards,
Prakash.

Hello

If you have OVFTool installed, you may able to use that.

ovftool_options (array of strings) - Extra options to pass to ovftool during export. Each item in the array is a new argument. The options --noSSLVerify--skipManifestCheck, and --targetType are reserved, and should not be passed to this argument.

Metadata inclusion. Additional metadata, such as an end-user license agreement, can be packaged with the OVF and displayed before installation.

The argument for OVFTOOL is around extraConfig but couldn't find clear info in the documentation

Hi,

We can't add the "ProductSection" in ovf file using OVFTOOL, but we can achieve it using COT tool.
