I was spared but there is a lot of storm damage throughout the area, downed trees and debris, property damage and power outages! The city has been across the street for about an hour removing fallen trees.
I am happy for the rain, my flowers were on life support and today they look like they are going to make it. I have seen far less bees around this year for sure! Hopefully that's not the same for everyone.

Every year I have carpenter bees, tiger bee flies and occasionally sculptured resin bees.
Per David Bittinger he told me if you have carpenter bees (Xylocopa) you are probably going to have tiger bee flies (Xenox tigrinus) nearby. They are parasites to carpenter bees.
I have also had resin bees (Sculpturalis) hanging around as well. Like many other bees in the Megachile family looking for available preexisting cavity sites, how convenient to find these already predrilled cavities!
