Interesting visit

Hi Guys,

 

Where would you purchase new seat skins and who locally would do a good job installing them?

 

Also went to Coachwerks in Victoria recently.  What a phenomenal restoration shop.  They redid Pierre’s 300SL and cars for many major collectors.  One 300SL Gullwing took 2 men a year to repair the chassis. Have a look at the photos.

 

Look at that gold Ferrari 250 Lusso!!!  Absolutely gorgeous.

 

The black 300SL Gullwing behind it was the one-year chassis rebuild!!

Nice pics Kevin,

I had a spare set of seats recovered with new oem seat covers from Honda and were installed by Fibrenew in Ottawa. I was really happy with the results.  I bought the covers from the classified section of Prime from someone who bought them and later sold the car before he could use them. Not sure where you’d find them now.  Another option is a company called Katskins that makes them for many car makes. Methinks Google might be the place to go.

Weather permitting my car comes out of storage tomorrow where I plan to drive it in the rain and flurries to Hamilton for Rob Magro to do a full engine-out refresh in the coming week.  Oh the pain of hitting the 20 year mark!

Thanks John.  Fibrenew did refinish the skins many news ago.  Did a good job.

 

Rob did all the upgrades, clutch and timing belt, speaker electronics wheel bearing brakes etc for me last year.  He is excellent but slow.

 

Have you seen the prices for 2002 up NSXs.  One supercharged 2002 for $370k US recently???  Wow!!!

Yup, getting the full Monty done: clutch, hoses, belts, gaskets, water pump, realign my exhaust (been crooked for years), even install new struts for my trunk lid. He promises it will be done by next weekend. My train is already booked!

Took the cover off last night and ran around the block a few times. Hard to believe it’s 21 years old.  Yes, 2002+ are fetching nice numbers. 🤩
