Hi Guys,

Who is the best local choice to diagnose a driveline issue?  When I engage reverse or first I hear a load clack when I release the clutch.  When driving at constant speed there is no noise.  The noise does not seem to be on either the right or left side of the car.  Who would be a good choice to diagnose the problem? Camco, the guy down near Kemptville, or???.  It was a small noise when I first took the car out of storage but after a 120 km road trip is much louder.  I jacked the car up and with the car in gear tried to rotate each wheel.  There was only a very small rotation and no noise.

The attached short videos provide the noise.

Video 1 is me just pushing back and forth.  Video 2 has me moving the car forward and in reverse with the motor.  The sound is best heard near the start of the last reversal.

Thanks,

Kevin

Torn engine mount?

Kevin, you had a bunch of work done on your car fairly recently right? What can you rule out as being brand new, and likely not an issue.

Cheers,

Lucas

The guy near Kemptville would be my choice, but he moved to just south of the 401.  I'd consider going that far if it was a really big job because you'd save a ton of money.  The only other people I have experience with is Camco.  What about your man Derek?

I'd love to hear what the problem is!

Brad
