Hi all

I was trying to use the otree devserver command as usual. However, this message jumped out and I fail to test my program locally. Does anyone knows what's going here?

Best,
Dong

you are already running the server in another command prompt window. If not, close all command prompt windows and try again.

Hi Chris

Thanks, Chris. I tried that way before but it failed. The good news is I got it solved now by changing the coding to otree devserver 8001, i.e. switching to a new address. Wish this would help if anyone encounter the same problem in the future.

Best,
Dong

OK.

If you are using oTree 3, I recommend upgrading to oTree 5.

Also, did you run oTree through docker before? That sometimes results in a port getting stuck.

Anyway, if you restart your PC it should definitely free up that port.
