Close Session

What is the best practice to close a session?

Assume that I send a session link to a pool of potential participants. For some reason I want to stop the session and prevent participants to participate. What is the best solution?

Is the solution to use rooms and close the room? I don't like that the page looks like a waiting room.

There is no specific command to close a session. Other alternatives include that you could download the session data and then delete the session. Or you could take down the server, etc.
