Hi all,

I'm wondering whether it's possible for multiple users to collaborate on an oTree Studio project.

Cheers,
Jessie

Hi Chris,

Thank you for your prompt response!

To follow up on that, what would be your suggestion for collaboratively programming a project together with multiple users? Would a good option be to code the project together on a text editor from scratch, or code different components of it on oTree Studio then download the source code and piece that together on a text editor?

Thanks again,
Jessie

Hi Jessie,

Have you considered using Git?

Best,

Max

Hi Max,

Thanks for the suggestion! I've thought about using the GitHub organisation feature to collaborate.

Cheers,
Jessie

For many authors working together, you would need to write your code in a text editor and git, etc.

you don't necessarily need an organization on GitHub. As long as each team member has a GitHub account, you can host the project on your personal GitHub account and add them as collaborators.

Sweet, thanks so much for letting me know. We could go for writing our code in Pycharm then. And that's handy being able to host straight on my personal GitHub account. Thanks again for your advice, much appreciated!
