Can you please compress the Game Day Roster photo's so it does not take so long to print out the rosters

Hello,

I raised this issue in the Spring.  Can you please set it up so that the Game Day Rosters use compressed photo files so I am not trying to print an 84 Mb Game Day roster file each week.  It takes my computer 20+ mins just to render the document so it can be printed.  Is anyone else having this problem?

The print parameters are determined by your system and browser. You can change the % print size in your browser settings.

I don't have any problem at all. I just open the roster on the mass soccer website and print. Do you download it before printing? Seems like a problem specific to your setup.

Out of curiosity, what is the size of the PDF file when you download or print it?  Mine is 84 Mb’s. I can’t control the size of the file since the system generates it. It is that file size that is taking so long to render and I have a laser color printer at home. 

I did not use to have a problem either but then

After Eric's comments, I did a little experiment as to which browser I am using.  I have been using Firefox to print the roster and decided to try printing it with Google Chrome instead and what a difference in the size of the file when using Google Chrome. It went from 84 Mbs when printing via Firefox to 11 mb when printing via Chrome so it rendered much faster and printed quickly.  Not sure why one browser would work so differently but at least know I have an option for printing that is much faster then previous.

So I will print from Chrome moving forward before but if there are major differences in using the sites between browsers, might be something worth noting to managers.

My roster PDF from last weekend was ~33Mb (Safari on iPadOS). I replicated the process with the current roster page and it was under 6Mb :)

I have also experienced a significant file size reduction.  Interestingly enough it seems to print faster when using Google Chrome versus Firefox but want to confirm a significant improvement, thank  you.

Note that Micro$oft's "print to PDF" will generate huge files. If you are saving the roster file to send to someone, use an alternative PDF print driver (I use CutePDF) to render the document.
