Goal Differentials

Good Morning,

I saw that there are teams that run up the score to the point of 20-0, 22-0.  I think there should be a cap on how many goals should be allowed to transfer into the standings on games like this.  For example, a 20-0 game should only be scored as a 10-0 or 7-0.  I would not want to be on the other side of a 20-0 game and feel that it is unsportsman like.  I think that teams would just slow it down once up by 11 or 12 instead of continuing to push for more goals. 

Just my thoughts.

Is this a big enough problem to change the bylaws? I know GD already isn't a tiebreaker specifically to not incentivize this. I know of one team this happened to this year but not sure if it's more widespread than that.

We did have a situation many years ago where two teams were vying for the playoffs and goal differential mattered and they both ran up the score. I think they were 23-0 and 16-0. We quickly fixed the rules. 

Now there's really no excuse to do that.
