I know that macFuse v4.8.0 is supposed to be compatible with macOS 15.0 Sequoia. However, I have been running the macOS 15.0 Sequoia beta and each time I restart my Mac, I receive the “New system extensions require a restart before they can be used”. The only extension I run is macFuse. Additionally, when I attempt to mount a VeraCrypt volume, I receive a “System Extension Blocked” error telling me the “macFUSE volume cold not be loaded. Would someone please help me resolve this issue?

As far as I know this is broken in MacOS 15. Extensions are going through a long term transformation and are currently in two places.

Privacy & Security-->Security

General-->Login Items & Extnensions-->Extensions.

Neither of these places solves the MacFuse 4.8.0 issue and we'll have to wait for the next version. If you try to rebuild your kernel extensions you'll find yourself in a loop where you do the same thing over and over.

I assume this is a duplicate of https://github.com/osxfuse/osxfuse/issues/1033

macFUSE 4.8.0 support macOS 15. However, there is macOS bug that has (apparently) been introduced in macOS 14.6.1 and is still present in the macOS 15.0 RC that affects some (but not all) users and prevents all third-party kernel extensions from loaded, including macFUSE. Please refer to the issue linked above for updates on the matter.

Best regards,
