When I set up a new route to navigate, between 2 predefined markers, then click Start, OsmAnd makes a route between My Current Location and the destination marker, instead of  joining start marker to destination marker with a route.

I have checked everything and cannot find the way to fix that odd behavior.
The only time it works as intented is when I cancel permission to the gps. Then it draws the route correctly between my defined start and destination markers.
But in real use that is not useful.

What can I do to fix that?

System: Samsung Note 9, Android 9, OsmAnd 3.4.8

Thanks and best regards,
Roberto

Pressing "start" begins navigation from your current location; it's a feature, not a bug. (You can't navigate from where you aren't.)   What are you trying to do?

I can choose whatever marker I have made as start and endpoint and within seconds this route is calculated and shown on the map. clicking "start" does not change that. I don't know why that does not seem to work with the osmands (3.4.8) of roberto and bart. we need this to make plans, of course, and it works just fine.

Thanks to both of you,I finally understand the psychology of OsmAnd:

Just by stating endpoints markers is enough for OsmAnd to draw the route, and give route distance and timing. My wrong interpretation was that I needed somehow to "press enter" for it to draw the route.

Excelent and thanks again
