Please can someone help me.

Is there a setting that I have missed?

Many thanks in advance.

Verify first in OpenStreetMap (https://www.openstreetmap.org/) that the
exits are numbered correctly in the base data.

If the base data is incorrect, then sign up for an OSM account and edit
the map to contain the correct numbers (which should then flow into
OSMAnd after the next map update).

If the base data is correct, then file a bug report in the OSMAnd
github issue tracker (https://github.com/osmandapp/Osmand/issues).
Include as many details in your bug report as you can.

@ Xavier: Are you suggesting that I use tour suggested software to visit every roundabout in the country in order to ascertain/edit the exits's numbering????

Check one that you know from personal experience was miss-pronounced.

That will indicate whether the problem is OSM data or OSMAnd.

The fix procedure will depend upon the outcome of that check.

@ Xavia : Just to be clear:The route displayed pictorially is perfect, but it is the voice commands that are occasionally incorrect .

@Xaiver

I have registered for OpenStreetMap, but I cannot ascertain the numbering of roundabout exits. I have carefully looked at all of the menu options, but to no avail

Your assistance will be much appreciated!

Campbell.

Obviously, I'd need a URL referencing a specific roundabout that you
know has miss-pronounced the exit numbering before I could look at
anything. I can't read your mind over the internet and know which
roundabout among all the world's roundabouts you have in mind.

I have the same experience, Osmand tends to tell med to take the first exit even when the correct exit is the second or third. The map is showing the correct excits, the voice is wrong. I checked with openstreetmaps, and the correct excits are given. I took my motorcycle out from winter storage a few days ago, since november I have not used Osmand. But I cannot remember any such failures from last year.
I do not know if it is important, but I am riding in the Oslo area, Norway. Latest updates of both Osmand+ and the maps.

As was previously said:

"Oslo area" doesn't really pin it down, unfortunately.  Can you zoom in
from https://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=10/59.9134/10.4988 and copy the
URL when the screen shows a roundabout that there is a problem with?

Best Regards,

Andy

Sorry for that, now I have attached a screenshot with parts of a route I took yesterday. In every of the four roundabouts Osmand told me to take the first excit. It should have been the second, the second, the second and the second. But this is just one example, on a tour of about 20 km Osmand gave me the correct excit only once or twice. Hope this helps.
