Hi all,

I tried to upload my OSM note. (German: OSM Notizen hochladen)

Upload with my user name worked - but I do have no idea where they do
end up. I do not see any hint within my openstreetmap profile.

So where did my osmand OSM notes end up?

They are not linked to the profile as far as I know. I suppose they
could be, like edits, but I have never seen them organized other than by
coordinates.

There is a notes database. They each have a number and content, which
is coordinates, author, text and then comments.

To see notes:

on the osm website, click map layaers and enable notes. open notes
are red, recently closed notes green

on osmand, there is a setting to show them, under configure map, "OSM
notes (online)". This will send fetch queries for the area around the
map view (I think, or maybe just current location, but it seems to
work fine) and load them. I think you get the same open and recently
closed.

in josm, there is a notes layer, which I think you have to enable
explicitly.

Whenever someone comments on your note, or closes it, you'll get email
from osm.

Ah, thanks, now I found it, both on openstreetmap and its editor.

It's not what I expected - but that's an OSM topic, I guess, to add your
personal notes to your personal profile.

Schönen Gruß

When I go to openstreetmap.org, log in, and go to my profile, I see
links at the top of the profile page to 'My Edits', 'My Notes', 'My
Traces', 'My Diary' and 'My Comments'

Do you not get those?

I hadn't noticed that before, but indeed, I have "my notes" and it shows
my notes....

Yes, you are perfectly right - there they are, as I found out by now.

I guess I had expected a more obvious counter number to pop up behind
"My Profile" or "My Notes" - which does not, yet.

Schönen Gruß
