Airbnb and Osmand??

This summer while we were cycle touring in Europe we would use Airbnb. It would give use the option to locate the stay on a map and it seemed to default to Osmand. And this worked great! But here,in the US, it seems to go to Google Map which I don't want to use because I use it offline.
So am I missing a step to make Airbnb go to Osmand?

Osmand does not have and display "own" data. It works and displays data of the openstreetmap.org project.
Refering to bnb it might use the tag tourism.

You are welcome to support this project and add information which is not already accessed.
In OsmAnd you can use the search for inestigate for accommodation, you also can create subcategories in search.
Just "play" around with OsmAnd to understand what it can accomplish.
