I live in A, but I want to plan a route in country B, thousand miles from A.
Every time I try,  I fail, because the created route always starts in A. How to creatie a route with NOT my location as starting point?
I tried it with planning a route, and with marker-files. Alas..

Hmm, weird. Plan a route works fine for me. When I start 'plan a route' it doesn't have a starting point until I select one. The attached is in the south of France, I'm currently in the UK and don't have all the maps between.

On the Plan a route function, are you pressing "Directions"?  Using conventional route planning, are you pressing "Start"?  Both will begin navigation from your current location, regardless of the route.
