Slow loading all of a sudden!

Currently on tour in western Germany and tonight as review our route my downloaded maps are all of a sudden downloading very ,very slowly.
Thoughts??

Check that in general settings the "failsafe mode" is unchecked.

I has this on one of my devices recently and I don't know when and how this got set.

It is unchecked.
But still slow.
