Since last update, my osmand (non plus) cannot regcognize my existing obf maps. I had to migrate the "shared storage" and create a /storage/emulated/0/Downloads/net.osmand folder as mentioned in the other post. I put my obf maps from the old folder /storage/emulated/0/osmand there, but they are not recognized anymore!
A new downloaded map is recognized and correctly stored in /storage/emulated/0/Downloads/net.osmand. I wonder why my old maps are not recognized anymore? I don't want to download tons of gigs again. :(

Hi dpuschek

It seems osmand needs to have written the file for it to be permitted to read it. However, you don't need to download them again. You need to move them to somewhere outside of the new download folder first, then use a file manager app to 'open with' and select osmand for each obf. Osmand will then import it. If the file is already in the osmand folder it will complain that it can't overwrite the file. I don't think there's a way to do it in a batch or from within osmand.

Good luck!

Thanks Tom! Importing with "open with" worked!
