Is anyone else having problems with Problems with OsmAnd+ 4.5.8 ? (Released 28th July).
It frequently freezes
It frequently closes then requires re--opening.

Apart from which:-
What is the point of the new system for what is known as "My Places"?  It has become a tortuous maze (labyrinth), un-intuitive and difficult to navigate.

Using OsmAnd+ 4.5.8 on Samsung Galaxy S20 Fe 5G with Andrpoid 13.
Used on 49 of 128 GB internal storage and 66 of 119 Gb of SD card.

Thanks

I had a freeze after a manual map update that lasted less than 2 minutes, no other freezes.

Osmand is still misbehaving badly, making it almost useless, e.g:-
i) Map slow to load.
ii) If I zoom-in/out it freezes then closes within a few seconds.

OsmAnd+ version is now 4.5.9
Device Samsung Galaxy S20 Fe 5G
Android 13.
Used only 49 of 128 GB internal storage and 66 of 119 Gb of SD card.

Please advise solution.  Thanks, PW.

BTW.  Osmand+ vesion 4.0.8 sill working "normally" with Android 4.4.4 on Samsung SM-T560 (albeit has been slow for a few months).

I would try the support options in the Help section of the Main Menu.

I have the same specs and version, but I do not experience a freeze problem.

One problem: In My Places, tab GPX-Tracks, the band wih the big + button (Import new gpx) is missing. This was my favourite button! I hope this is a glitch in the code which will be patched very soon.

At first I was sceptical that Osmand would run long enough before crashing, to access the Help Section, but it was managed.  I await assistance from "Contact".
Thanks ("sonw...") for your suggestion.

There has been no response from "mission control".
Meanwhile it seems that that the only thing which triggers the freeze-then-crash is zooming or sliding the map.
Other functions seem OK, e.g. if I avoid moving the map, I can enter the menu and use it as normal, to look at favourites, My Places, etc. and presumably other things.
Suggestions please.  I'm desperate to get this resolved.  Will unintstall/re-install be the only solution, and if so what precautions should be taken, and what data will be lost?  I presume some settings and preferences within the app will need to be re-established.

I have a Samsung 21FE. Zooming in and out, both with 2-finger pinch and the +/- buttons work fine for me.
In the past a map error was often the case for this misbehaviour.
If you download another map  "from somewhere else" and try zooming again in that country/map, does it then still crash?

Hi Harry.
Reacting to yor suggestion I've downloaded Cape Verde, to which I've never been and which is a new map in the device.  Same problem with freezing!
