Trailforks

Is there any way to get trail forks tracks into Brouter ? There are lots of tracks missing in the app which could be handy if you wanted to do cross country riding

The only way to get these trails/tracks into BRouter

is to get them into map database https://www.openstreetmap.org. (OSM)

Aš BRouter data are based on OSM data.

Anybody with OSM ID can modify the maps.

On the site is info how to do so.

Attention: many of the trails in Trail Fork are not official trails, they often are personal trails that should not be inserted in OSM. The first one I looked up in my area, also carries a fantasy name that has no relation to the reality on the ground.

what they exactly mean.

OSM data policy must be respected.

I can assure you I use trailforks almost exclusively when I ride mtb trails, and I haven't come across any that are not there? If you were lost somewhere out in the bush and there was a trail you could ride to get you to safety then why wouldn't you want to know of its existence?

I think we need to clarify what "trailforks" are and what is actually missing.

I suppose you refer to https://www.trailforks.com/ where users map recommended MTB downhill rides and other stuff on top of a base map like OpenStreetMap?

Are you missing an overlay of the data at trailforks.com like the Waymarked Trails hiking layer [1] or the corresponding paths in the base map, e.g. the OSM standard layer (a link might help)?
