Hi all,

While working in Form Bulider, from time to time the browser (Chrome) stops responding (even though I'm still active ) and does not allow entering the settings of a given section and control. Only browser refresh fixes this problem

Maybe it is fixed in the new version? Orbeon Forms 2020.1 As you can see, I have 2019.2.2, and the form itself is not yet implemented. There is a chance to upgrade. Worth it?

Hi Vlad,

Could you try opening the Dev Tools console, and check if you see a
JavaScript error there when that happens? Also, before that happens, are you
seeing any error on the server in the `orbeon.log`?

I don't know what the problem is, so I wouldn't be able to say if it is
fixed in 2020.1. But if upgrading is an option for you, I'd definitely
recommend you do so as lots of fixes (in addition to new features and other
improvements) went into that release.

In orbeon.log I have something like this:

 WARN  XFormsServer  - xf:dispatch: cannot find target, ignoring action {target id: "fb-custom-control-settings"}

Does it depend on the network settings where i work? Currently working with a VPN. There are days when it doesn't happen at all, and there are days when it happens very often. I also noticed that the problem is when I work on Form Builder at demo.orbeon.com
Both in Chrome and Firefox.

Hi Vlad,

It should not depend on network settings. As mentioned earlier:

Hi Vlad, have you found more about this one, maybe something in the browser
console that would give us a clue of what is happening?

Hi Alex,

I did not see anything suspicious in the browser console. Recently I started using the 2020.1 version and so far I haven't noticed the behavior I wrote earlier. However, if something like this happens, I will write.

Got it Vlad, it is encouraging the you haven't seen the problem with 2020.1,
and of course just let us know if it shows up again. (Always happy to squash
bugs!)
